Associate Program Consultant
Denise Dennis is a member of the Educational Technology Department at New Teacher Center, a national nonprofit dedicated to improving student learning by accelerating the effectiveness of teachers. A graduate of Flagler College Tallahassee, and Florida State University, she has been in education since 1994, including 8 years spent working with elementary students with special needs such as autism, visual impairments and emotional/behavioral disorders. She has also worked in early childhood programs and as a mentor and teacher. She is currently certified in Elementary Education, K-12 Special Education, and Middle School Integrated Education with Reading, Autism and ESOL endorsements. Over the past three years, Denise has worked with beginning, veteran, and mentor teachers in eMSS, the New Teacher Center's online mentoring program and as a facilitator for their MOOCs.
