Dr. Kenneth M. Hale, RPh, PhD

Assistant Dean

Bio

Dr. Hale is a registered pharmacist and an Assistant Dean in the College of Pharmacy at the Ohio State University. He holds a B.S. in Pharmacy degree as well as a Master’s in Educational Theory and Practice and PhD in Educational Policy and Leadership. He is also a Clinical Professor in the Division of Pharmacy Practice and Administration and has taught pharmacy courses for over 30 years. He practiced as a pharmacist in the OSU Medical Center, including specialties in clinical pharmacy, drug distribution, nutritional support, nuclear pharmacy, and management. He directed the College of Pharmacy’s Professional Experience Program and Student Services in previous academic positions. Recently, Dr. Hale was a co-founder of the Generation Rx Initiative, a learning community focusing on prescription drug abuse prevention. Dr. Hale has received two distinguished teaching awards (selected by students) during his tenure at Ohio State. He has also received a Distinguished Alumni Award from the College of Pharmacy, as well as Distinguished Diversity Enhancement and Career Services Awards from the Ohio State University. In 2013, Dr. Hale was honored by the American Pharmacists Association with the Linwood F. Tice Friend of the Academy of Student Pharmacists Award, as well as the Ohio Pharmacists Association’s Beal Award.
